All this is happening because Beauty World is included in the URA Masterplan, and now, you can be part of a new wave of growth in the Bukit Timah district with Daintree Residence. This new private development is just a 6 minutes walk from Beauty World MRT, with lush 35,000 sq ft Treetop Walk garden, well-built amenities, multiple pools, and quality interiors and finishes.

Under URA’s 2019 Masterplan, Beauty World will have an Integrated Transport Hub called Beauty World Bus Interchange. This new Bus Interchange will be located at the junction of Jalan Jurong Kechil and Upper Bukit Timah Road, while MRT connections are made available through Beauty World MRT Station on the Downtown Line.

Currently, the MRT line means high-speed connectivity into the city, and in the future, heightened access across the island once the ITH is complete.

The area will also have the new Bukit Timah Community Building, an additional hawker centre, a modern indoor sports hall, a community library and an elderly facility for additional liveability. All this is on top of ongoing enhancements to pedestrian pavements, all new connections to parks and greenery!

Value for money

Daintree Residence is the best value buy in the area, as developer SP Setia had made a land purchase at a better price than other developers in the area compared to nearby projects such as View @ Kismis and upcoming developments such as Verdale and the Good Luck Garden en bloc site.

Proximity to schools

Daintree Residence is also near a good number of great schools. Young families will be happy to know that good primary schools like Pei Hwa Presbyterian and Bukit Timah Primary School are nearby. Additionally, Methodist Girls Secondary is within 2km in the neighbourhood. For families with toddlers and tots, there exists a cavalcade of nurseries and kindergartens within walking distance from the development.

Secret Corners at Kilat

A very short walk away from Beauty World MRT station exists this little niche of cafes and tucked away Korean restaurants. Lorong Kilat’s stand out used just to be Udders Ice Cream, but now, a large assortment of cafes and restaurants have moved in, livening the area up.

Cool places to hideaway, like Carpenter & Cook, as well as the famed Revelry cafe sit next to neighbourhood Korean eateries like Woorinara and Kim’s Korean.

There’s even a Koryo Supermarket there, which sells all sorts of quality Korean groceries, snacks and ingredients. Of course, Udders Ice Cream is still serving its scrumptious Waffles and Ice Cream.

Just opposite Beauty World MRT lies an iconic Singaporean supper spot: Ameen Makan House. It’s been around forever, and it never seems to be closed. As the sun sets, you will see people throng the place in groups, ordering stacks of pratas and towers of Milo. The menu has a large assortment of items, but classics like Mee Goreng Pattaya and Roti John stand out.

Some people even say that this place has the best Milo Dinosaur and Milo Godzilla, which is a Milo Dinosaur with a scoop of ice cream added on for good measure.
